Here's an example of a basic conversation in French when you first meet someone:

2. Asking questions in French

French question words to form sentences.

  • What? — Quoi ?

  • When? — Quand ?

  • Who? — Qui ?

  • Which? — Quel(le) ?

Questions to get to know someone:
